How Omega-3 Fatty Acids Work and What Makes Them Important?

Omega3 efas are necessary nutrients for you to eat to boost your well being. Humans used to get a sufficient level of omega 3's in their diets, but these days due to better farming methods, unfortunately we cannot. You could eat specific foods that are high in these essentials fatty acids, but they're sometimes expensive and difficult to find. Flax seeds and walnuts are perfect sources of these acids. They are not that expensive, especially the flax seeds. And they're the best way to get the omega 3's you should have. Walnuts can be more expensive and give a few individuals stomach aches. You could eat wild caught salmon and other fish, but that's fairly expensive to do. Among the best and cheapest ways for you to get the efas you need in your diet is to take omega3 supplements. Sounds great! But why do you actually need omega3 efas in the first place?

Finally, omega 3 efas help in making healthy cell membranes in your whole body. Cell membranes are mainly composed of fatty acids. Without sufficient omega 3's in your body, your cells can't communicate with each other as they should. There is certainly growing scientific evidence that this cellular level communication, or lack thereof, influences diseases like cancer and tumor growth.
