There are several diet plans available to help lose weight quickly. There are many of their customers with delighted feedback about how fast they have lost the weight. Although they may be effective, it does not mean they are the safest way to go. There may be a consequence, such as feeling lightheaded or weakness for losing so quickly but for many it is worth it.
The recommendation for losing weight is usually that is must be done slowly. Those that do have the most success with keeping it off. This involves losing about one pound each week. Eating habits must change and exercising three times a week is incorporated. The exercise should last at least thirty minutes and for even better results two days of strength training should be done as well.
When habits do not change permanently, once the pounds are gone old habits kick in. What happens then is that all of what was lost and more may be gained in a matter of months. Then the process begins again of losing and gaining back. It can be quite discouraging. What must happen is a lifestyle change for the new weight to be maintained. Sometimes people try to exercise without the changes in food consumed. Unfortunately, this does not lead to automatic loss. Most reward themselves with a post workout snack that can replace the calories they just burned.
When there are certain events to attend, everyone wants to look their absolute best. This is especially true when seeing people that have not been seen in many years, like a class reunion. Some of the diets available may be a bit strange but will usually work. If dropping ten pounds in a weekend in the goal, there is a diet for that.
A safer way is to make sure enough time is available to reach the goal. Drop no more than three pounds a week. This requires quite a bit of discipline but can be done. It is the same simple formula but stepped up. To lose pounds, more calories must be burned than are consumed. This will mean decreasing calorie intake and upping exercise.
Sometimes a food journal is recommended too see exactly how many calories are consumed each day and from what foods. The amount of calories consumed will have to cut down to about 1,200 to 1,400 calories each day. It should come from three meals a day plus a snack or two. Eating less than 1,200 calories can slow down the metabolism and cause a loss of muscle and pounds. Both these things mean the body trying to keep its fat.
Some tips to remember are drink lots of water. Many times people confuse hunger for thirst. When feeling hungry, try drinking a glass of water first. Sugarless gum can be a substitute for sweets. If counting calories is not possible then portion control will be important. Try using a salad plate for meals. When eating a snack look at the serving size and stick to it. Put aside sugary drinks such as soda. Cutting down on salt intake, helps shed water weight.
To lose weight quickly use the above suggestions or try one of the quick liquid, fruit, or vegetable diets. Caution should be used if the amount lost is significant. Too many pounds lost can lead to a lot of sagging skin. To change the diet eat lots of whole grains and plenty of vegetables and fruit.
